Cantilever will not get you more travel. It’s sole purpose is to keep the shocks under the bed

    Mods? Yes, oh yes..
huh. thought the cantilever would let the axle get past the frame vs the SUA/leafs mounted at frame height.

The leafs are still the limiting factor in that situation. But, add links in and the game changes.

Either set up is still ultimately limited by the axle bumping at the frame. A linkage or leaf won’t determine that, only changing the relative location of axle vs frame will(frame notch, or tube frame for example)

While we are on this topic I just got a notice from Deaver that spring prices will go up by 15% as of October 1st so if you’re on the fence don’t get mad at me when the rear kits are more expensive:)

I had 0 wrap with the DMZ setup and then a ton with my new setup. But my stupid long shackle is to blame I believe. Added a anti wrap bar and all is good now.

Because the springs actually cycle correctly. Shackles pointing up are no bueno, they fight the springs

Haven't noticed any yet. I set pinion angle to 2* down as previously stated and its super grippy even with the bed off.

Well the biggest draw to a 63 swap is part availability. The leafs are cheap and you can get them anywhere. The Deavers for the 62 swap are expensive and they are only one source, no one's gonna have them on hand to buy from. And the price just went up. Now I don't think I'll be breaking the deavers, but if I did...

You would call them up and be like I brok X leaf in my pack and they would say OK ask for pics and send you another pack of needed. That’s what would happen in that hypothetical situation

I have piles of stashed parts for things I don’t even own anymore lol. A hand full of LS motors, an LSA, transmissions, t-cases, axles etc. It’s a literal problem. But, I guess one can have worse problems in life.
