The ball joint binds if you tighten it too tight, but I’m not sure how much is too much. Moving it by hand vs the suspension cycling are two different things of course. I just don’t want to tighten it too much and it break. Is there a torque spec for them? @81Trekker

Drivers side inner is out. It’s for sale if anyone needs stock inners.
No low ballers I know what I got.

If you’re talking about adjusting tension on the ball joint, adjustable joints are usually tighten to zero play. Not usually a torque spec.

That’s what I figured given the way you’d tighten it is like the nut on a cut off tool (no idea what the technical term is). I was just surprised it had loosened on its own enough to have slop in the arm.

Yeah I’m also confused about the binding you’re talking about. I put the upper into the spindle, tightened to oem spec with some blue loctite and no issues.

I believe these EMF’s can be adjusted, if I’m understanding him correctly. I’ve dealt with adjustable joints before and it’s typically set to zero play. Not sure what EMF wants.

I think he’s talking about the actual nut that goes on the ball joint that passes through the spindle, but I could be misunderstanding.

    Never mind, you were right.

The ball joint itself, not the connection to the spindle. There are four holes on top for loosening and tightening the ball joint in the cup. Mine was loose. I could grab the UCA and make it knock. I just don’t want it to fall out going down the road haha
