I’ve already said the first 40 get a free battery tray and the discount will be announced when 40 people sign up.

I’d say if you don’t see value in this product at $2k then it’s probably not the best option for you

@81Trekker can you stuff 37’s with the inner fender kit out of the box, no pivots and +2.25 LT? Are hydros set to bump higher than wheelers super bumps?

fair enough. Was hoping for more, but that's about what response I thought I'd get.

    10-4 thanks!

I gotta say I didn't think of this. My last tacoma I had put the battery behind the back seat(optima red) and maybe winched twice with it back there and didn't notice anything but that's probably cause I only did it twice.

Your firewall won’t allow it inner fenders or not. And the hydros are designed to use all the uptravel the kit has. I have no idea about super bumps, never used them

Yeah, I'm sure you could get away with a slightly smaller wire on shorter pulls but I want it set up worst-case scenario so I don't burn my truck down lol my winch draws 358 max amps which is quite a bit across a ~15' run of wire

I'm running superbumps and my limiting bump factor was the upper uniball. I had to space my bumps down 1/2" for them to work properly.

I’ve got super bumps too but I didn’t see where the ball joint was limiting when I cycled. If anything it probably could have squeezed a little more uptravel. Did yours make contact at full stuff?

With no superbump spacer, my upper uniball would make contact with the cup. I learned that the hard way after the first shakedown run. I have little divots on my uniball cup from it.

I’m going to go back and look at mine then. Seemed like when I cycled it the limiting factor was the bump stop itself and it could possibly go further up with a hydro or something mounted higher. Curious now.

You gotta remember the supersbumps compress a lot, and you won't be able to simulate that while cycling in your garage. That's what I see as the main benefit to hydro's is there's no guesswork where full bump is at.

This is exactly why I don’t like big squishy rubber bumps

Right, but even static it didn’t strike me as close enough to pull the bump and check it. I could very well be hitting it and that’s why the ball joint was loose.

In regards to the battery tray; Will this be an item available as a stand alone product? Can it be mounted to any flat surface? Any pics of just the tray? And what size battery is it designed for?

Here are a couple of pics of when I cycled. That "before" line is how much the bump would have to compress to hit metal on metal at the upper uniball, which isn't much for something as soft as the superbump (seeing as I did make metal on metal at upper uniball).

The "after" line is once I added the 1/2" spacer. I may be losing out on a little bump travel but that's just how it goes with the rubber bumps since there's no way to know exactly how much they compress.

That is close. I need to check mine. Do you know what your camber is? Don’t know if that would influence the ball joint to make a huge impact though.

I haven’t cycled since I got my alignment dialed in. I probably wasn’t as focused on uptravel as I was strapping the droop. My ball joint is still clanking around after I tightened it. That concerns me a bit. I can grab my UCA and pull super hard and make it pop a bit.

Not sure what additional info you were looking for. Most GBs are setup this way where the discount isn't disclosed until there is a certain amount of commitment and even then it is kept to private chats. You should be able to justify weather or not the upgrade is worth the cost prior to committing to the purchase. That's why most GBs have the "don't commit if you have to ask the wife" disclosure. You are either ready to commit or not.

If you're already having core support issues I'm not sure what your hesitation would be. Although I understand 2k is a decent amount of money to put into a mod for a moderately driven Tacoma.
