That wasn’t directed at the group buy. My point was to realize where your bread is buttered. That the customers are the ones providing the courtesy by buying JD product not the other way around. I think it’s great to have the group buys, but it’s not some charity JD is presenting to the peasants of TW. It’s business. AND THAT’S GREAT

Well my wife drove my truck today and she said "Am I crazy or is the steering different? It feels easier to turn." She knew I was working on it, but didn't know what I was doing, so I guess that's good. After having driven it more today, it definitely has a very light feeling to the wheel. Hit a few big potholes, that's about it, but it felt good driving through them. Wasn't really enough to have any real feedback though.

I paid way more than $2k to have the cracked front end of my truck replaced by a body shop and they did a really shitty job. You already have the problem, your truck isn’t going to get better without a bit of $$$.

Reading the last few pages was extremely disheartening to see. Really not going to lie. As someone who personally does one off custom stuff, I know the struggle. JD has been nothing but good to me. Anytime I've had a hiccup with something, Jesse and Harry both have been incredible to work with. Something I absolutely cannot say about every business I've dealt with. In life we have choices, if you don't like the way something is you can simply walk away instead of running your mouth. Them being attentive is them caring about every customer. And In my opinion, they are extremely humble. They are giving us all the time of the day, that's what humble people do.

When I read Harry's comment of "Or I could just scrap the whole group buy and sell them all at retail. I’m doing this as a courtesy to TW members not because we need the business." I took that as egocentric and entitled. I won't be the only one to read it that way, but I'll be one of the few to have the balls to say it and that is my courtesy to JD along with the purchases I have made. Most will stay silent and move along to purchase elsewhere and none will be the wiser.

There's a reason the group buys make sense to do. It's a great way to judge demand for a new product. It's not a courtesy JD is doing for TW. It works both ways. If you don't like working direct with customers, sell wholesale to distributors and don't bother with it. Giving your customers the time of day is just part of business. It's not some altruistic event, everyone does it. You get paid for it. I could not imagine telling a customer I was doing them a courtesy and I didn't need the business. Why the fuck would I want to spend thousands with someone who didn't need my business?

That’s all I wanted to say, and I knew it wasn’t going to be popular. That’s the extent I can care about how they conduct their business. I have my own to worry about, and I would absolutely die for honest feedback like that about my interaction with customers.

They made exactly what I needed and it’s extremely well made. Almost certainly an overkill but I don’t want to winch myself out of something just to see my truck catch on fire

JD isn't your grandpappy's business. Expecting others to do as you would is going to leave you disappointed and alienated throughout life. If someone told you, the way you do business isn't ideal because you do it XYZ instead of ZYX, which is how they've done it in their family since the Pilgrims, I think you'd realize what's happened here.
