I have literally never been in my truck and thought "damn I wish I could operate this truck with gloves on".

I'm with you for everything else though

I use mine on our land quite often so I find myself with gloves on making short drives. Would really like rubber floors the most though.

They make rubber flooring for the tacoma

As for the gloves build up enough calluses and you don't need gloves.

You should experience a non planetary twin sticked t-case. 2 low is meh. front h and lo then rear h and lo is where it's at. Front and rear digs ftmfw. Plus you can buy this nifty little box from a member on here than allows you to do 2 low with the flip of a toggle switch.
I wish my apartment complex wasn't so boujee so I could work more on my stuff.

Being a 6 speed, I use 2 low a ton on technical stuff. Low range while being able to steer lock to lock is seriously handy. It’s one of those things you never knew you needed until you have it.

    Send a link.

I haven’t had calluses good enough to withstand welding, mixing concrete, pulling barb wire, felling trees and everything else around here haha I could start a glove closet. One for every occasion.

And replace actuators every time they die. Shit, just the t-case actuator cost as much as the FJ case did. Think I paid 220$ for that case with 25k on it. And I’ve had an atlas in my life. While they are awesome, I can’t justify it for this build. So the FJ case is what I went with. And it works damn well.

    He beat me to it.

The more you wear gloves the less those calluses will grow. Gotta bleed to get tough skin.

We had a customer come in recently with a glass eye. He was using an Allen key on a tough bolt and it came out of the bolt and it bounced off the floor and straight back at him and nearly poked his brain. 1/4" more would have made him a paraplegic, but instead he just lost his eye. Just from using an Allen key. Now I wear safety glasses a lot more.

I was using some dikes to push edge trim into a 90° corner cut for a high clearance and they slipped off and I punched myself in the eye with the tip of the dikes. I hit myself so hard that I bruised my face. I 100% would have lost my eye if I haven’t been wearing safety glasses. I try and make it a habit to throw them on whenever I’m in there doing absolutely anything.

All that was left on the glasses was a nice scratch.
