Fitting 35’s with minimal trimming NOW ADDING LONG TRAVEL AND 934 CV’s

    These arms are designed for a complete crossmember replacement which is currently being built... this is a way more radical setup than I have on my own truck. The new crossmembers will push the arms forward as well as down. A completely different style than stock diff mount will be used as well as a totally different steering setup and 934 CV’s

    Oh and the second position on the jig is for 5” over arms just because :)

    It’s a tight fit but the 934’s will fit on a stock Tacoma!

    These will hold up just fine with 300m axles, hydro steering and an ARB locker :)

    We may need to talk. I’m confident in some diy if it can be done without too many special shop tools. Is that front diff in the oem location still? That’s a tight fit, and I’d fear of clearances at the lca with that 934 cv on the outer with a stock spindle. But even taking this idea to some 33 spline 930 cv’s and 300m axles will be way stronger than what I’ve got currently.

    The front diff is in the stock location in the pics and the CV easily clears the arm because the CV is way more in board than the stock CV. This is not a diy job, a lathe and laser/water jet is needed along with some skill :)

    Figured it was a bit more than what’s been shown. I could get access to a lathe and have at least some skill with one, but not a laser/water jet. Still curious how they come out and what sort of pricing you guys would do for a custom set. As of right now RCV is the standard for big axles at $2200 with the benefit of their warranty.

    @81Trekker you're speaking my language here.

    How hard would it be to put a D44 outer on that half-shaft you're building? Solo is about to launch a D44 spindle, or that can be your next project.

    That’s fine if you want a completely fabricated spindle. This is more geared towards the stock spindle and the stock outer CV is really strong as it’s non plunging.

    I just don’t really see the point of making a spindle yet...

    Yeah, I'm tracking. The weak point becomes the spindle itself, and the wheel bearing. My plan right now is to test the OEM spindle + gussets and wheel bearings to destruction, then move on if I have to.

    I'm curious what the travel numbers will look like with that 934 CV on a stock width setup, the UCA crashing into the coilovers is probably the limiting factor.

    Yep, that and the uca/spindle bolt maxing out at droop as well. I think there is more up travel to be had if you change coilover collapsed length and take care of tire clearance issues.

    For sure. Up-travel is really limited by tire size and keeping the front skid off the ground.

    I'm going to have to do some math on the spring/UCA clearance issue. Might be what drives me to LT.

    Up travel will not be limited anymore as new crossmembers are being fabricated which changes the way the suspension cycles. And I have a set of custom built Kings sitting here for this build. Stay tuned
