    I actually have considered doing this to see if I need real marker lights. Might get some orange lights on the outside edges of the bumper or fenders if it comes to that

    I don't think that is something that state inspection is going to pick up on but the fun police aka the state troopers that hang out near our legal off road spots love writing those non moving vehicle violation tickets... I've had tickets for uncovered off road lights, tires protruding too far and my all time favorite...a non CARB certified gas can spout. The Police in Baja can be fun too they love to pull you over for stupid stuff like the ever popular "no mud flaps" or " sin faldones de barro" and try to tell you it is a $150 violation when it's really more like $20 but down there just remember the phrase " Quiero ver a un juez " aka "I want to see the judge" and you'll be paying your $20 roadside and be on your way....or get shot...but probably just the $20
