    Mods? Yes, oh yes..
It's a HUGE improvement at a premium price. It's an expensive *stop gap* (haha) until we do the rear axle and then it'll be wilwoods all around. Bedding and install was a no brainer and quality is top notch.

I was just curious if that caliper made the pedal squishy with its upsize or if it retained the factory stiff brake pedal feel

I have the SOS Stoptech kit for the front & the rear disc conversion too so I'll chime in. It really depends on which OE brake system you have, if you have a booster and a master you should get the master cylinder conversion from SOS. It's just a Sequoia master with a plunger adapter. The best upgrade on top of that is to get a dual diaphragm booster from a Tundra as well, the dual diaphragm booster makes a massive difference.

This thread has all the info around the booster : https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/my-2006-tacoma-brake-upgrade-edited.652471/

Fair enough I suppose. Truck is gonna be a beast when it’s all done.

I have no clue what the rules are for being on the trails during race week. And with the craziness that will be going on that week I’m not sure. But the plan is to be out there and messing around on trails as much as we can

I have the 6 piston Stoptech up front and no squishiness. But I didn't do the rear disc conversion since I have the trd brake booster, and haven't seen an option to upgrade that yet.

Seems like that electric booster handles the need to push a bit more fluid / pressure better

I may do it eventually, I've had all the parts for the conversion sitting in storage for 2 years lol. I just rebuilt the rear drums and tbh this setup has been more than adequate for my needs so far. Been in a few hard braking close calls and it stopped before the hit.

Archive Garage rear towers/shackle flip/SUA. King Air bumps. King LT Coilovers in front. King 12x2.5 in rear. ARB rear air locker and twin compressor. I did a tundra booster/bmc upgrade back in January since I’ve had a soft pedal since putting 5th gen 4runner brakes in 2 years ago. Made a huge improvement and actually felt like I could stop the truck again

We will be out there in force during race week. Being on the trails during the day is ok typically if not an actual race day. Have good maps and have a good race schedule downloaded on your phone before you arrive. If you stay off the actual race course which is tiny compared to how big JV is you’ll be fine.
