TGI fucking Friday. Bummed radflo dropped the ball on sending the correct misalignments for Wills truck so we can’t mount shocks on it. So now I get to try snd move his out so I can do my KOH prep for my truck this weekend. All good though, this week has sucked so I’m looking forward to a lighter weekend.

Oh and this was supposed to be a front end Friday thing.

My front end Friday pitch in, finished up Coastal Offroads new front crossmember chop bumper a couple days ago, and finished a new front skid last night. Going to recess the fairlead in as much as I can so it isnt the only thing banging on ledges. Also swapped in a non-bro grille

I didn’t know CO had a high clearance front for the thirds yet.

Yeah, but initial pictures showed the skid mount up between them to be a 'brick wall' of a strike point. JD fab's LCA pivot + skid makes the transition much nicer. Queue someone who's done the chop with pics....

I'll be modifying my CO bumper once I do the LCA pivots and chop.

I think that’s still a second gen there, but I agree. I’d probably DIY my own that has a bit more coverage on the “sides” because snow

there’s someone here who did something similar, I’ll see if I can find a picture.

Yeah the site lists them as 05-21 and there's only photos of a gen2.

He set them up like that for better approach angle, cuz the tires are ahead of the skid at that point

Yeah I made my own skid thats at less of an angle than this, thought the same about it ramming. Technically the 3rd gen hc isn't out yet, but will be soon.

This is far from accurate. The exposed shaft will and is causing premature wear for folks who wheel and drive in places outside of dry arid places. My rack lasted all of 3 months after you installed the slide rack. Crap happens and it’s a part of wheeling but engineers who came up with ways to stop this prove in fact it is necessary. Just not for you.
@906taco i am testing a PRP boot at KOH. I will report back on how it goes.
