I think that’s still a second gen there, but I agree. I’d probably DIY my own that has a bit more coverage on the “sides” because snow

there’s someone here who did something similar, I’ll see if I can find a picture.

He set them up like that for better approach angle, cuz the tires are ahead of the skid at that point

Yeah I made my own skid thats at less of an angle than this, thought the same about it ramming. Technically the 3rd gen hc isn't out yet, but will be soon.

This is far from accurate. The exposed shaft will and is causing premature wear for folks who wheel and drive in places outside of dry arid places. My rack lasted all of 3 months after you installed the slide rack. Crap happens and it’s a part of wheeling but engineers who came up with ways to stop this prove in fact it is necessary. Just not for you.
@906taco i am testing a PRP boot at KOH. I will report back on how it goes.

No, I’m just going to measure it out and cut it little by little until it fits like I want. I don’t have the time to be able to test fit it, take it all back apart, then put back together. Already took out windshield wiper fluid container and did the intake. So hopefully it will be pretty straightforward.

My idea for mounting points are clamp it where I want it. Then mark out whatever holes I have to drill and areas I need to weld mounts and grind. Then I just have touch ups. We will see how it goes.
