Anyone know what push fit connectors fit the plastic hard lines under the truck? I tried some 5/16” quick disconnects but the hard lines are maybe an 1/8” too long. Might just trim it unless there’s another part. Don’t want to put a clamp on the plastic line and have it crush. This is what I tried-

Anyone know what windshield wiper fluid tank everyone is using with the new inner fenders?

The OEM pump and gasket fits in a 1-3/8" hole if you want to make one. I grabbed a generic reservoir that I liked (mine was tupperware lol), drilled a hole for the pump, made a little bracket to hold everything, and I've been happy with it

edit: something with a sump shape of some sort is going to be best, so that when the level drops to the inlet of the pump, there will only be a small volume of fluid left. Thats not always easiest shape to find, so a square/rectangular reservoir will be fine. there just might be like 1.5" of unused fluid in the bottom when the pump starts sucking in air

So what’s the purpose of it being sealed? Just fumes from the acid? I just find it strange that you need a sealed box. Wouldn’t just a standard box be fine just to make sure if it leaks it doesn’t get inside your cabin? I ordered the sealed one but why couldn’t you just use the standard box one?

    I have a 4th gen 4runner, I don't actually belong here

The rear wiper arm itself has been missing for 6 years so the rear wiper pump is kinda pointless lol

So the other question is since hydrogen is lighter than air where would you even put the vent in order for the sealed box to actually work properly instead of it just building up in the box?

Well while painting the inner fenders I started putting the core support back together. Swapped in the radiator and condenser. Was able to disconnect the coolers and reroute them though the new core support. I have to mount the trans cooler still but it’s plumbed. Tomorrow I’m hoping it doesn’t rain so I can clean up the rough cuts on the cab side, finish some painting and the inner fenders can go back in. I gotta say the whole core support felt so solid once it was all bolted together.

Yeah I understood that. I guess what I was trying to say was there isn’t a spot to vent it out the cab at least if you wanted to mount it in the back seat. You’d have to do it maybe passenger front where you can vent it out the firewall.

eh the floor's and easy enough place if your worried about venting it....just go thru with a grommet on the tube.

Im going to be moving my battery behind the rear seats. I have a group 27 AGM battery. I’ve been looking into lithium set ups as well. The weight difference is huge. Dual battery set ups for less weight than a single group 31.

I like the idea of Lithium battery for many reasons but my research has found problems with them regarding both hot and cold temps. Anyone have any experience with them?

The lead acid battery produces a noxious gas due to the chemical reaction. Hence the need for vented box. The agm or like batteries use a different reaction to create the electricity that doesn't require it.
