I was looking at on side-by-side the OEM parts and they look almost identical but I’m not sure

Its not so much the pully as it is the positioning of the pump itself. The 4.0 kit has a couple of shims to position the pump in the right spot so that it lines up with all the other pulleys allowing the belt to run true. The pully on the howe pump is different from the oem pully but the JDkit gives you the correct belt to use with the bigger howe pully. I'm sure that JDfab would need a 2.7 to mock up the kit to work for you.

The full float 9 requires a new MC? Or did I miss something somewhere?

yup...because of the disc brakes. You can go without it but you are going to hate the feel of the pedal from what I hear. Your other choice is to add a proportioning valve. But this route solves it all in 1 package.

    Yes
you’re going to hate the pedal feel anyway unless you get the dual diaphragm booster too

Ran the cables for the battery under the foot boards and pretty happy with it. Trying to decide if I want to put the trays behind the seats back or not and modify for the battery.

How long of cable did you use? I was getting ready to buy cables for mine.

What cable thickness did you use? I couldn’t get mine to fit under the footboards.

I bought 25 ft and ended up cutting about 10 ft off. But might do a dual battery in the future so wanted the extra wire.

I did 1/0 and 4 for the ground. I just ran it like factory so connected all my grounds back to the fenders and a leg off the terminal to the core support. Then the fuse box to the terminal then all the way to the battery. I wanted to try and avoid drilling a hole on the cab. I ended up going through close to the steering shaft goes through then zip tied over by the harness and through the floor boards. I had to take out all the clips in order for it to fit and it was still pretty tight. Organized so all cables payed flat and no crossing. Foot boards aren’t as secure without those clips but they seems to be good enough with the 2 end points I’m not too worried about it. I will get more pictures today as I finish it up.

Also because of how expensive copper is right now. I paid almost 300 dollars for 100ft so cord. Insane. I used copper clad aluminum. Conductivity and resistance is incredibly close to copper and it’s way cheaper. Aluminum is taking over the electric field because it has gotten so much better than back in the day. Almost all commercial jobs use aluminum feeders to panels and big switchgear/transformers. The only jobs I’ve seen still use copper is big industrial jobs and romex where the price difference is negligible. Copper clad aluminum romex I have seen more people using on houses.

Finally finished everything. My fuse box was completely destroyed so had to tape it together and rig something up to support it. Everything feels super solid though. It’s weird not seeing the inner fenders anymore. They tuck up there pretty good.

I initially ran these on the one ton XJ. Last taco I made my own kit and ended up paying way more.

Gotcha I thought the disc brakes on the FF9 were smaller than one ton. When I went to a FF D60 rear with 3/4 ton calipers the factory MC and booster did fine but pedal feel was a bit spongy. The rear brakes were definitely locking up before the front.

24f, I don’t think the 27f would of fit and planning on doing doubles eventually. This 24f has more cca then my bigger Lead acid battery so I don’t see it being a problem. So far it cranks up perfect.
