Mine actually cracked and lost pressure out in Moab, luckily close to camp and cruised back in low, could have been way worse.

I know my stainless "stock replacements" seemed shorter than the factory hose, so that could have played some role too.

So if you don't get the steering slide rack kit then you can't move your LCA's forward?

I'll let @81Trekker answer that one, I don't think so but I'm somewhere between half and two thirds stupid so I caution anyone against making life decisions based on anything that I say...

I feel like if you keep your factory inner tie rods you should be fine. I had mine pushed the full 1" forward before the slide rack and didn't have any issues or notice anything. But then again I never did look either. Just kind of sent it...

I may be 39/64th's stupid but yeah there is no way that your tie rod was not hitting lower coil seat or spring near lock

You can run the lca kit without the slide rack.
Here is Harry’s original set up. How much caster built into the upper arm might vary others experience.

WAIT ! the other 25/64th's of partial intelligence just kicked in...the CO is attached to the LCA, the LCA is attached to the LCA tabs, the spindle is also attached to the LCA & the tie rod is attached to the spindle so when you move the LCA forward the tie rod moves forward with it so it's probably not as bad of a dry hump as I thought.

Hoping to get some insight here. I’m cycling the front end right now. It’s only pulling 12.75” with no straps or bumps metal to full shock extension measured at the hub. I’m confused as the website says 14”. I had assumed that was strap to bump. Am I missing something?

Are your shocks hitting full extension before upper ball joint contact?

Yes. Upper joint only binds at bump.

Have you done a rough alignment? You need to be properly aligned so the upper spindle joint doesn’t prematurely bind. Use angle gauges to get neutral
