I noticed this as well but I haven't done one of these installs so I wasn't going to question it.

The way you have the rear cams set up right now, it looks like you swapped only half of them from left to right.

    On the rear mounts...
The most forward cam is setup so the skinny side is out.
The most rearward cam is setup so the skinny side is in.

I don't know if this is enough to make a difference, but the way that this is now your rear bushings will be tweaking slightly and not parallel to the front bushings.

Yeah I will fix it. Guess I should of waited before I drilled the holes. What would you do if you have to get a bunch of alignments done and made multiple holes? Fill the holes in with weld I am guessing. I will fix it when I do the slide rack since I have to get another alignment anyways.

Keep in mind, the circle cam has to match the other end as well. After looking at pictures I think you have the bolts clocked wrong in the cam. I also believe you need to swap the cams from one side to the other so the bolt is more outboard.

Well in the picture Harry posted he said it was most outboard, it’s the same. Front goes in from front, rear goes in from rear. But the teardrop is fixed so that’s what is confusing me. To get the skinny side out on the rear bolt you’d have to flip the whole bolt.. I understand they need to match. But I don’t think they match perfectly because they are different shapes. You rotate the teardrop a 90 degree turn or whatever and the furthest outermost point on the eccentric washer looks in a different spot. It just is playing tricks on my mind since they are different shapes. But then again I am an electrician, so what do I know, probably got shocked too many times.

To get the bolt more outboard all you have to do is swap them from side to side. And yes, they will match perfectly. If I recall on mine the milled surface on the bolt is pointing straight up when its in the cam. But either way, bolt position in the cam is important. Definitely looks like your bushings are twisted pretty hard, and the above is why.

Gotchya. So my driver rear and passenger rear bolt need to switch. Then make sure the eccentric washer matches. I think it just clicked. Thanks

looks like I have to switch the front ones as well. Damn I screwed it all up :anonymous:

Front and rear cams both need to switch sides. I know when I did mine my cams front and rear were in identical positions after alignment, so nothing at all was bound up. I'm betting you will get better numbers with less effort doing this.

Geezus. You don’t need to switch from side to side. Flip the eccentrics over… literally take the most rear eccentric off. Flip it over 180 leave the forward eccentric that is on the same bolt in its current position… then the rear will be set up for 60% outboard alignment.

haha no my issue is the teardrop shape where it locks the head of the bolt is set for most inward and my washer on the back side is set up for most outward. So I need to switch the bolts so my teardrop is set up for most outboard to match the washer.

See pictures of mine vs Harry’s. In order to get the skinny side of the teardrop where the head of the bolt is I need to switch driver bolt to the passenger side.

The tear drop piece does not have anything to do with this. The eccentrics sets whether it’s gonna be a 60% inboard or a 60% outboard setup. You can make the teardrop line up just by turning to bolt head until it drops in place inside the teardrop.

No you don’t. You can flip the eccentrics to make my picture match Harry’s. The tear drop bolts up to either side of the eccentric

The hole is not center of the teardrop so I need to make sure it matches the washer on the opposite side. The only way to do that is to switch the bolts, if I don’t switch the bolts I need to set up my washers for the inward position to match my teardrop how it is now. Otherwise they’d be fighting each other.

Dude I’m sorry. But I’m done. You are not getting it at all. Do what makes sense to you. But you are making it harder than it is.

Just got off the phone with Harry. So just to clarify so we all are on the same page. I can take the bolt out and flip the locking teardrop 180 degrees or switch the passenger and driver bolt. Essentially it’s the same thing. Then just match the washer on the back.

Edit: For everyone else planning to do this in the future don’t make it as complicated as I did. Lol

This fits so much better than the first way I did it. It finally clicked.
