This bad boy showed up today. Took about 7 weeks from Quick Performance from ordering it to my door.

Got the front end clearanced now lock to lock at all points of travel. There was some trimming on the inners for the 37’s but it wasn’t much at all. With the .875 from the arms and one spacer to the rear for a total of 1.375” forward seems about perfect. But the +4 arms and my -38 wheels definitely helped the situation. If you’re not wide enough I wouldn’t suggest 37’s with the inners as you would be hacking a substantial amount out of them.

You should trim another inch out of the top edge of your fenders to account for frame and coil bucket flex on a hard impact. Look at what happend to @kasnerd his frame flexed 3/4" past full bump when he had a hard hit.

At full bump the tire is inside of the fender. Fender would have to move 2+ inches to make contact with the tire.

Yeah I guess they work sometimes for people. It’s a lot easier to just do weights because once you put the beads in, let’s say they don’t work for you. It’s a pain in the ass to get them out on beadlocks and a lot of time involved. Or you are paying 100 plus bucks for a tire shop to remount and balance.

Cool, from that side view it really looked like the tire is below the lip of the fender

Yeah it does for sure. But this is how it actually is. And this was before cutting.

Yeah same thing happened to me. I clearance around 1/2" above full bind, and still went into my fender by around 3/4"

Yup, I've got a cut in one of these tires from the same thing. At least now the tire tucks up inside so it shouldn't be able to happen again.

I was going to make a crosstube between the coil buckets to help prevent that, but now I'm likely going to be selling this truck anyway

Thankful I have a buddy who I went to highschool with that let me balance my beadlocks at his shop, otherwise most shops in my area don't touch anything if the wheel doesn't have a Tesla emblem on it

Yup, I will be doing the same if I find the time on this round. The amount of flex between the frame rails up front is nuts. And to think that's the strongest portion of the frame....

I threw beads in my beadlocks + 37s and they have been super smooth. Better than the 35s on alloy rims I had before.

Same here. I wont use anything other than beads. But beadlocks can be a bitch at times. Getting the ring centered is super important. When I do the rings, I go hand tight then toss them on the balancer, spin and watch for runout. Then adjust from there until I cant see anything. Its pretty surprising how much that ring can move around. I have a few customers that request beads in everything they own from car tires to offroad tires. They swear tires last longer and run smooth for the life of the tire. I personally don't run my tires down to nothing so I cant verify the truth to that.

Yeah I was pretty 50/50 on beads/balancing them. Past beadlock wheels I just went unbalanced, always have been curious about the beads though. The dirty life wheels seemed to center the tire pretty damn good and the ring hardly moves around, and weren't horrible unbalanced up until around 70mph. Most wheels I used 3-5oz, which isnt bad for how chunked/worn my tires are.

On the topic, I considered beads but chatted with Powertank beforehand and they didn't recommend them due to the monster valves I'm running in the wheels and the potential to clog them up. I tried traditional balancing and each wheel only took an ounce or two of weight, I was pleasantly surprised.

If anyone is curious, KMC's have two valve stem spots so I replaced one with a monster valve and can air up/down each corner in about 25 seconds from 8 psi to 33 psi.

I don’t get it, I’ve had more sets of bead locks than I can count on daily drivers and just have them balanced by the tire shop... never had a single issue

Those monster valves are pretty legit, a buddy of mine just did them and can air down his 40s quicker than my 35s
My issue isn't the balancing part, just that I live near Seattle so everything is big and bad, racist, and illegal.
Shoot, even with my fakelocks the tire shops around my area were skeptical because they thought they were real beadlocks (guess beadlocks are illegal in Wa), they also dont want to lift a 100lb tire setup since that would be work abuse or something (probably)

I just pull cores and get blasted with beads. I put a gauge on the opposite stem and watch it drop.
