I’ll have to measure coilovers when I get home but I think my bypass sits right over 4” extended.

The truck does look to sit high. An alignment MIGHT help and the springs may settle a bit but I don't think it'll be quite as much as you need.

Assuming it's a 7.5" shock, you'll want to sit at about 50-60% in the travel making 4.5" (7.5*60%) or 3.75 (7.5*50%) of shaft at ride height. Where are you getting your preload measurement from? The numbers don't align with what everyone else has done.

I’m at 4 1/4 shaft at ride height. That’s just measuring the chrome showing C1952D92-DF7C-4857-96FA-4D0EB65A5DF5.jpg

There is 0 pre load. The collar is as high as it goes. Just enough to hold pressure on it.

From reading, radflo also runs a 1.5" longer extended length than king. So that alone is going to play part in a kit that was designed around a king shock that's 1.5" shorter. If that truck is 4wd, hopefully its strapped pretty conservatively.

Fuck the Radflo I am not running the Radflo. Plus those were 26” long. I know JD specs 24” the ADS are 24.5 with the longer rod end.

Ah that's right. For some reason I thought it was on radflo. JD spec coilovers SHOULD measure 23.5" extended as they limit the travel by .5"

I have 16” 600lb springs and they sit way lower than I’d like. I ordered 18” 600s and have built a bumper to tie into pivot kit so it should hopefully even out.

Either way. I’ll be fine with it at about 5” which is 62%.

Looks like you have a little different rod end on your coilover?

Shorter spring is all I plan on if its needed. Definitely comes a point where dropping to a lower spring rate does more harm than good.

The JD spec is 16x650 isn’t it?

Idk, mine came with 600x18. But if I recall that's what harry had recommended I start with.

    Too many to remember
Depends on how the truck is setup, weight, bumpers desired ride height etc

The standard spec may be but most companies will offer a custom option to change the eyelet, hose routing, etc as needed to fit the different kits.

I thought you had ordered16x650 with mine but I don’t have those old texts anymore. I’ll have to check when I’m home.

That may be, but body length differs from company to company as well. Not always as simple as changing the end.

Exactly. We did have to change the lowers on mine. But the body is short enough plenty of room for full bump. the Radflo before had such a long body that they were at contact at full bump already pretty much.

Can see how long the body on the Radflo are in this pick.
    Actually limited up travel
