We do a lot of stock travel 600-650# king coils, with the really heavy guys going 700#, but Elka coilovers come standard with a 700# coil and people complain that they are too soft so it's definitely not a consistent thing.

Its just an interesting fact. Not surprising though. Given different raw materials used. Probably slightly different manufacturing process used.

Got the call from Harry today that they just wrapped up the front suspension and are sending the truck for alignment. Bumps took a bit more longer to come in than anticipated, but that hasn’t changed my excitement. Can’t wait to pick it up

4” kit with pivots and 934s. ADS coilovers and hydrobumps to match. Harry said the bumps came out nice from ADS. Looking forward to seeing how it turned out in person, and only a matter of time before pictures end up in here.

Front suspension: Work in progress JD Fab +4 LT, LCA pivot kit, steering slide rack, 934CVs Rear suspension: Archive Garage shock relocation and SUA Conversion,King 14x2.5 shocks, King 2x2 hydro bumps, FN wheels 5 stars, sliders
Those bumps would be perfect. Where the king bumps ended up living makes it a tough spot for access to the nut and shrader valve

Agreed. I'm not sure why king is the only one setup that way. But I have loyalty to them for whatever reason. So I will deal.

My personal bet is it all boils down to preload/spring length more so than the actual rate of the spring.

So you've got stock length shocks with the kit? LT shocks would run 16/18" springs. I run 600lbs on my setup too and am happy with them but I'm also running the JD spec'd Fox shock for the LT kit. Same but different.

You're running bypass with the kit too?

Picked up the truck Thursday. First off, hats off to Harry and JD fab for having the best customer service in the business. I bought nearly all the parts beforehand but wasn’t aware the 4” kit required hydrobumps. Harry called up ADS and got me all set up. As with most projects of this scale, there’s bound to be issues. For every issue, Harry called me and communicated everything that had to be done to make sure I was good with it. Definitely the best communication I’ve had from any shop that’s worked on my truck. Lastly the work itself is flawless and the attention to detail is superb. Highly recommended, and I would not hesitate to have them work on the truck again.
