I’m an everlast guy. Used to miller welders in my up bringing. I honestly put the everlast directly on par with a Miller. Both my MIG, TIG and plasma have been phenomenal. Hell, even Kibbetech runs a bunch of everlast tigs.

Yea inner fenders are next big big project. But will probably end up sitting in storage until fall.
I want to be able to use truck and have trip to Montana in June/July. Then prep and setup for big September trip.

Yeah, it's a bit ambitious especially being I'm replacing the core support while I'm in there. The list of things to do is pretty long but I wanted to get it knocked out before it gets too hot out here. :bananadead:

Even if I don't make any trips this summer at least I wont be trying to work on it in 100* temps. Set myself up for some good trips in the Fall when things cool down. That's the goal at least.

I hear ya with the heat. Depending on how trips go etc may wait a bit also. I too have to replace the core support. But I can’t find a one piece for the 3rd gen. It’s all the prices individually

Why even put a stock core support back in???? I ripped mine out and literally made a new one out of 5 pieces of tubing and some home made angle brackets. No tube bending required either.

Two reasons for me. 1) this project is already going to take a lot of time so I do not need to add building a core support in which I have limited tools/knowledge of how to do with all of the accessories that mount to the OE. 2) I'm curious to see how well/if the inner fenders help the factory support survive. JD is fairly adamant that this is the root cause of the issue and if I'm being totally honest, I don't 100% agree with that idea but I'm willing to test it out and save myself a ton of time in the process. They do have a few years of experience on me in this area and I'm willing to take their advice. Worst case, the replacement fails and I build one in the future when I have less work to do.

You ever thinking of making a “race kit” something like solo’s with Dana 44 or similar hubs. Or do you think the 4+“ kit is plenty for these trucks. I just ask cause I want to go wider eventually and go bigger than my 2.25” with links.

We are working on a custom spindle that uses a vertical uniball. The spindle and upper will work with existing 2.25 and 4” lower arms and axles

You will be able to squeeze additional up and down travel out of both kits as the steering arm will be optimized so the outer heim is no longer the limiting factor
