Sending some good vibes your way. We're just now on the brighter side of a 4 year low point with my wife's health, family deaths and all the other things life still throws at you. Stay strong! Tacoma World is a good diversion.

Yes it will be for the 4wd crowd. The axles will stay the same and we are working with a company to build cromoly outer birfields. We are going to use the stock unit bearings because if we go D44 then the entire existing front end will be worthless. The idea is to make this an affordable upgrade for guys that want to get a little more out of their existing kit. Personally I’ve been very surprised by the strength of the OE unit bearings. Granted if you are doing a V8 and 37’s I’d want a D44 setup but like I’ve always said if you’re going that far just start with a different platform

Picked up some 2.0x4’s for the rear end for a really nice deal. I know Harry doesn’t recommend hydro bumps with SUA, but I’m the type that likes to “explore” a little bit.

Shorten them to 1.5” and they won’t be too bad

anyone have feedback on the new style of king bumpstop? I like that they have a threaded body for adjustment, not sure if they have the same internals as the regular style, or even the same stroke as a 2" bumpstop, or what. The price is pretty insane if you ask me... but the they look the part, and have built in mounting for the reservoir.

Honestly, I don’t get the point of a threaded bump. Bump is bump and I can’t see why you would need adjustment once they are in.

Fair point, and if you are creating your own mount, after you have "finalized" your truck weight, springs and other suspension items, that's very possible. However, if your truck changes, and you add or remove leaves (change the pack thickness), spring over/under, or change shocks that change where full compression is... then an adjustable one might be good. I know my truck is not static, and the one size fits all bolt on bumpstop mounts don't work for me, at least with that fixed style of king bumpstop. Icon and others are clamp-able so the height can be set somewhat.

I think it is interesting at least. Probably too much money for me considering I already have superbumps in place that seem to be working. And I don't do the high speed stuff where I think the hydraulic bumpstop would be of more benefit.

I like adjustability for long term peace of mind. Like the 62 swap can be repositioned for ride height, I love that adjustability. Will I ever actually adjust it? Who knows, but it's there if I need to.

These aren't really that new. I know king and locked offroad has been doing them for around 4 years at least. Most OE replacement hydrobumps are a threaded body because there are so many variables depending on setup. Nobody who is doing a custom suspension setup would use the threaded body style.

I have my fronts shortened to 1", and the rears are 2". I rarely hit the rears, but barely notice when I do. Ive been really happy with them.

I did the same thing. I was looking for a little more travel before hitting the stops. Still have a lot of wheel travel in the bump zone.

I have the threaded body compacts in the front. I did them primarily due to availability at that moment in time. I also thought they would give me flexibility to slightly limit up travel if I went to a larger tire in the future. I recently went with 37's and I've been cutting everything that the tires touch. It's been quite a bit of work. I agree with the above statement though, the bump stop point shouldn't change on a whim. It's good to have those fixed.

Really? All of my friends bump stop mount locations and angles changed on a whim when he jumped off the back side of a dune 15’ to flat rock in his 4800 car. It was a hell of a way to break in his new to him race car.

He also rapidly changed the tire pressure in his front tires along with the mounting placement of his engine

Along with a few other things.
