Everybody always wants a better price on everything, tacoma world or not. Being a business guy myself it pisses me off pretty good. Quality isn't cheap and cheap isn't quality. Pick your poison.

    Mods? Yes, oh yes..
It's why there are fewer and fewer vendors like JD on forums. Everyone needs to think they are getting a deal or one-upping their own bullshit. I'm still waiting for a discount code for some spindle gussets!! Aaand before anyone's undies get twisted. Its a joke!! Why would there be a discount on the least expensive part? There have been others that waste time asking inane questions like this.

According to @y=mx+b they’re a different taper too so I don’t think it would work. That’s why I like @906taco idea of just using a tacoma spindle.

I’ve started getting things for free since I’m an influencer. It’s only fair. I have a combined 200 views on YouTube, one friend on FB and no profile pic, can’t find my build thread on here to update it, not sure what twitter is used for, and haven’t logged into MySpace in a bit. If I don’t get stuff for free I usually threaten to blast them on AOL. Works every time. JD was wise enough to listen.

Don't get me wrong, I work hard for my money so I'm always looking for a deal so I guess I'm guilty as well. I also realize that there is a balance between quality and price and I'm all about supporting local business.

It’s called the early adopter fee. It comes down to I want what I want and I’ll pay for it. No Ragrets ever.
Now if speedway engineering would deliver those axle housings already I’d be much happier.013002E5-4082-40E5-AE31-814D99D7E830.jpg

Big brands force little guys out by gaining popularity due to lower prices and when the little guys are gone they raise their prices as you have no other options... it's a terrible yet effective way of running a bussiness if you have enough capital to gamble with.

Any chance of getting a radiator core support made to fit seamlessly and provide that extra front tire clearance and replace the cracked up core supports we all have?

    Sorry, to be more clear:

I was hoping for a dedicated core support, that would integrate to the custom inner fenders, using the same material as the fenders, and if doing so you could probably redesign the area that you say you cut off when pushing the wheel forward all the way.

I guess it is just wishful thinking of doing the fenders and a core support at the same time, both designed for more clearance. I'd guess a lot more guys would buy in for the core support replacement aspects in addition to the inner fender clearance.

edit: for now at least, I'm not into building my own core support out of tube, would like to replace with a performance oriented one, that ducts and seals up the radiator air flow better, provides the strength needed for all the extra torsional frame twisting forces going on, etc. Going out on a limb here... but if you put your wizzardry into a core support, I'm sure it would be awesome and improve a bunch over the cracked up oem ones we all have...

The trimming of the front core support is very minimal so making a whole new one doesn’t make sense when you can just buy a factory replacement for cheap. If you want to make your core support survive then get the battery off the front corner and you won’t have any problems

My goal is to offer the most competitive prices available so we can continue to stimulate the US economy by purchasing American made products and keeping the money in OUR economy.

I'm not sure that explains the passenger side all cracked up, and I've seen plenty of pics of supports worse than mine. Even if you didn't make one that was "high clearance" and it needed to be trimmed, the thicker steel, bolted to strong inner fenders, would be great... I guess you have given an answer though, you don't want to produce a radiator core support. Bummer, I think there is a market for one that is the same quality and strength as the fenders, at least as much of a market as the inner fenders anyway.

Maybe someday you will reconsider, but I doubt you will ever be bored and looking for something to do... And maybe I'm the only one who has resistance to building one from tube, or just throwing a stock replacement in there - it isn't as easy as it sounds.. would like to do it once with a good one, not just the same one...

JD has made their position on the core support issue pretty clear from the beginning. Not that I disagree with your opinion because I do believe a replacement core support has a place but until we start seeing core supports fail even with the inner fenders I don't think it's worth JD or any other company pursing a replacement. IF the inner fenders truly resolve the issue then why spend more resources fixing an issue that's already fixed? Only time will tell and I don't think anyone has reported continue core support issues with the inner fenders.

That said, I disagree with your stance that "just throwing a stock replacement in there - it isn't as easy as it sounds.." because I just did it and it is in fact... "just that easy." Especially once the inner fenders are installed and literally bolt to the core support. Even if my replacement fails I can buy another Amazon special and swap it in a day.

That’s a noble effort and I mirror your desire to keep more money here. Nothing wrong with being competitive. Rushing to be the cheapest is a whole different story.
