Probably best if we talk privately on the subject, theres alot that goes into it. Everyone ive talked to has had thier own unique questions about it, i dont want to clog up a thread.

I’ve been eyeing it but have been hesitant because of the cost but also the caliper clearance issues when the LCA. But mostly the cost lol

I'm running the 338mm GX 4runner Wilwood kit. No issues on mine with +3.5 kit. Are talking about the rotor to lower arm cup clearance?

Your issues are what has me nervous. I would really like to upgrade my front brakes but I don’t wanna drop 2k and have a mess either.

    Too many to remember
If you address the issue of the rack bushing deflection you will be fine. And you always have the option to limit the steering angle through the slide rack if needed.

I have done 6 piston big brakes with our kits on multiple occasions and it works great when set up properly

The slide rack should address that issue shouldn’t it?

Yes. Slide rack is tied to the frame. When it’s bottomed out, there’s no bushing to deflect.

Quick question. Are the tie rod extensions side specific for the LT kits?

I tried to get an alignment and the tech said the extensions are supposed to go in/out when you rotate them for toe.

just checking before I put the truck back on stands.

They’re not. The extension should be tightened into the tie rod end and imagine those two being one complete unit. The extension shouldn’t spin. You loosen the jam nut and turn the tie rod to move toe in and out. If he can’t bring the toe inward enough, you’ll need to trim some off of the end of your tie rod, that happened to @Dayman Karate

If they’re bottomed out and you can’t bring the toe in enough you may have to trim them about 1/4” like I did. I think I cut a jam nuts worth of thread off but it’s been a while. I would cut just enough to get by. Only do it if you’re at a proper ride height and other alignment specs are decent first. I believe toe is set last.
