Most likely have @Yotamac tackle if he’s down. I’ll help as much as I’m able to but I’m no fabricator.

Original plan was to swap to JD sua kit from my archive kit while I collect parts and ready to cage the truck. That way I can enjoy it while I collect the parts. Or I just get the links and axle under with a bed cage configuration for now and tie a cab cage in after.

Can someone post pictures of their alignment bolts and keys so I can make sure I have them set up in the right orientation for the alignment shop?

Got my truck back today after having the JD SUA kit installed with Deaver hd's this thing rides like a 70's Cadillac! Was lucky enough to have some over qualified fab guys install it and they were really impressed with how well it rides...

In case anyone has to do this…here is what I did. Utilizing that 3rd mounting point on the pump and keeping the sheared ear / bolt in place for correct position.

Does anyone have tips on how to support rear fenders that are cut for a high clearance bumper? Mine are cracking, which I’m not too worried about since I will eventually get glass. Would like to know how people have supported theirs?

If you search my posts I struggled as well with wrapping my head around it. I posted a lot of pictures that might help. In the end it just took me a minute of messing around with it until it clicked.

@lferrara I have a set of those Pelfrey mounts if you think they will work for you and you want them.

I've seen your pictures in this thread but I thought you had posted that the alignment was wrong and others had said the same thing. I've looked at other pictures in the thread and everyone seems to have their cams orientated a different way. @81Trekker can you just post a picture of what the cam positioning should look like for me? I just can't seem to wrap my head around how to set these up

I took the original ones, trimmed them a little, and made my own, bedsides are nice and stiff now

How many coolers do you need? Do you have an extra bracket there?

I believe there’s three brackets because there are two different mounting options for the reservoir, each needing a different bracket.

Yeah there is 2 orientations you can put them in. You need to make sure they all match.

Your cams are set up in a way that would pull the tire back towards the firewall. You could do 2 different things, either flip the cams and tear drops on your rear cams to match the front, or flip the front to match the back. There is no final correct answer, but start with them matching. You may need to flip them to get the alignment you want. For example, I have mine opposite of your set up, but with the uniball pivots with the JD kit, I’m able to misalign the lower arm.
If you have bushing style lower control arms, as you do, both cams need to be in the same orientation. They can be set up with an offset with the tear drop plate.

I would flip your front cam to match your rear cam. It would bring the front pivot inboard. Giving you more caster, at the same time as pulling the wheel away from the firewall.

I got some of those bumper clips that people used to put on cars and mounted mine that way. Works well and trees just push it in if I get up on one too bad. Saved the bedsides quite often.
