Probably close to 300lbs... It still sits a tad bit high in the back but the slope in my driveway makes it look lower. With the exact same weight in the bed and my old Icon RXT full leaf pack I had about 4.75" of up travel with my current set up I am a little over 9" at full bump...

Got my speedometer working today, finally proving that a simple wire swap at the abs ecu works. At the abs ecu plug I pulled the wires out for the left front wheel speed sensor (red and green) and right rear speed sensor (that no longer exists.Orange and black wires)
I then put the red and green wires into the 2 spots that the orange and black ones lived in. And like magic the speedometer came alive. I have a 2wd and so it gets it speed signal from the RR wheel speed sensor and with the new axle I no longer have rear speed sensors at all. So this is the trick fuck to making the Speedo work on my truck.
Where your sensor wires are at in the plug vary from year to year and what kind of Nannie’s(atrac, abs,VSC) you have installed…what kind of master cylinder is installed. So having a wiring diagram for your year and model is a must. Unless you don’t mind chasing wires with a meter.

The 2 wires I swapped have the arrows. (The green one has a bit of shrink wrap becase i tore the insulation a bit taking it out)To their right under the yellow wires is where they came from. I put the orange and black wires into those slots as storage since they are not hooked up to anything at the other end.

That’s brilliantly simple. Congrats on a successful project, that’s always a good feeling.

Now that I have parts in hand and can compare them to the instructions, I have a couple of questions.

    1. Is this the correct layout for everything? Howe is nice enough to have different-sized fittings on the pump and resi to make it somewhat foolproof, but I wanted to confirm.
    2. There are 90 and 45 degree fittings for the feed (I think it's feed?) line. Which fitting goes on the pump and which fitting goes to the rack?
    3. The black tube appears to be a breather for the reservoir and doesn't need a fitting on the breathing end. I just want to confirm this.
    4. What is this black squishy dome for?
    5. "...the stock fitting is used at the rack end with a barb reducer and hose clamp. Cut stock line about 3” from rack fitting." Is this the rubber return line? I assume so due to the barbed fitting.

Funny enough, I was looking through this thread for your flickr for pics but I only found the lower pivot install link (I didn't search too terribly hard). The more pics, the better. I love having a very clear and concise idea of what exactly I'm doing before I tackle something, so those pictures will help a lot.

I'm seeing that now that I scroll through the pics. Thanks again, between the answers to my questions and the pics, I feel like I'm mostly ready for the job.

For you (or anyone else reading), did you fill the cooler with PS fluid as well to help reduce the amount you were sitting there bleeding air out of the system? Seems like it would save a little time, assuming it's mounted vertically.

I did fill mine up...more than once because I did such a pathetic job of purging the rack of the old fluid. On that....wonder if its a bad idea to put some air pressure on the stock pressure hose from the pump to help purge the rack. On another note the fittings for the pressure hose ...the sleeve goes on first and its a reverse thread to put it on the hose....bottom the hose out in the sleeve then screw in the fitting....put it in a vice that fucker gets tight at the end.....just in case you havent done those type of fittings before.

The hose ends need to be cut extremely clean and not frayed, that’s why you wrap painters tape around before you cut. I use the impact to thread the lock nut on the hose, makes life way easier

Do you remove the tape before assembling the fitting?
