Now I wanna go measure my eibachs to see length they are at ride height. I have no clue how much they were preloaded to be installed on the ADS CO haha. It's probably similar to yours.

Measuring at ride height won't give you the info you're looking for.

All I'm looking for is the length the spring is compressed at ride height. Should be as simple as taking a tape measure to the spring as it sits, and then measuring total length of the spring next time I have them off the truck. I am not nit-picking the spring rate, I have no performance issues with the front, and I am not science'ing the shit out of it.

    My truck = my rules.

Am I incorrect? I would measure it against when the collar is touching the spring with no tension at static height aka zero preload. I say near zero because I don't want any play in the spring. But I was the one that set the coilovers originally. I installed my previous LT kit and had Harry do my current install on the same DK spec coilovers. I have notes on how much front to back and corner to corner weights effect height because it's a teeter effect. I only disagreed when you say 600# would not be enough for desired ride height. While misleading, you saying it wouldn't work would lead others to believe something else. It works fine for me. Maybe because I'm not loaded up with my housing, furniture and kitchen sink.

when you do, can you try to compare seat height between the podiums and stock? I’m in the market/have been and looking at the prps but also want to lower the seat height for more cage clearance. Probably have to do custom mounts to get them lower but if you think about it and can compare it would be appreciated

The podium elites on solo brackets sat up about 1-1/2" higher than stock seats at their lowest setting on my FJ. Also the Podium Elites were very narrow at the knee area and I found it too restrictive for daily driving. I would opt for one of the options with lower bolstering at the end. I went with the elite recliners that were 2" wider than stock.....they barely fit with the doors closed.

I can definitely do that! Feeling like these will sit lower. But obviously won’t know for a little while yet.

For whatever reason messages aren’t popping up right away for me so excuse my double posting.

Containment style seats really aren’t meant for ultra comfort. They are to keep your ass in place when shit goes south. Fun fact about recliners too, when I was younger I was doing some highly spirited “rally” type driving. I lost it in a corner and spun backwards at about 75 mph and ass packed the rear of the car dead center in a tree. The seat back broke. I almost died. I will 100% give up some comfort after that.

Fully agree but if you spend the extra money some have additional bolster padding for rally type driving. Helps you fit like you're surrounded by a padded glove.

I made the assumption you were looking to find the amount of preload you had. You do what you want with your truck and a tape measure.

More concerned about coil bind than anything. Preload is just a number until it affects ride quality or makes it too difficult to tune.

    Also, who’s gonna try it?

Honestly though, these do fit me like a glove. Which I was really really nervous about. I’m 5’7” 185 and never skip leg day, so I was really concerned they would be too tight in the seat portion. It sucks spending 2500$ on seats you’ve never sat in to know lol. Happy they seem to be perfect thus far.

You really are going to push me over the edge with this one! I told the wife what you said about swapping my stuff to her truck and linking mine. "You know its going to happen anyways, plus I get cool stuff." Officially no voice saying "don't do it, it's not worth it".
