those wires are easily damaged without any outward appearance of damage. Id take the plug off at the sensor and up above the coil bucket and ohm ot the wires between those 2 plugs to see if you have continuity. I'd be willing to bet you its that run of wire thats bad. Next run of wire goes straight to the ABS ECU.

I’ve seen it happen too many damn times. $10 says that’s the case.

It never ends... Okay I'll grab my meter and check that in a minute.

Okay so wires are good. I am getting continuity through the Leeds in the sensor though. So the sensors probably bad. I don't get a reading through the passenger side one so that has to be it.

swap sensors side to side to see if the problem moves.

Thanks guys. I will keep messing with it. Worried it was something in the harness but from the plug at the sensor I am not getting any continuity so hopefully everything's fine. Hopefully it's the sensor but I'll let you know when I figure it out. That's a good idea @Airdog. I will try that and just double check they are cleaned really well.

I thought the sensors were directional. Probably could go front to back though

I swapped the rear driver with front driver and it stays on the front left. So it's something else..

Did you drive it or just start it? It needs a short while to set the code or clear it. Needs to see movement.

Also, I replaced two sets of cables for those sensors. Agree they are very delicate.

I don't think you have too. I actually forgot to plug in the rear one when I switched them. Then both came on and after I realized it I plugged it in. Cleared the codes and restarted the car. Then just the front one came on again. You'd think for a short or open circuit the computer would be able to tell right away. But idk.

Maybe I'll just replace that cable and see if it fixes it. I'm not getting any continuity between the wires so one of them must of just got tweaked or something. Didn't realize how delicate they are.

On mine after I sliced a wire/fixed it, it took ~100ft of driving before it turned off

Strange. Wonder why mine went away immediately after clearing and restarting on the one that was unplugged. I will try to drive it around a little and see if it fixes it.

After looking into it more they do say you have to drive at 25mph for 60 seconds.

You can cut off each end of the harness and solder in your own wire. I’ve done that before with 14 gauge because it’s all I had on hand and the repair is still holding.

I’ve also never had to drive to get the fault to clear, not with a broken wire anyways.

    What is ABS? Sounds troublesome.

Well. Thanks guys. You were right. It's the harness. Getting 11 volts at the connector before the harness and nothing at the sensor.

I've continuity tested a bunch of those harnesses, and it's never helped haha. The wire is usually still connected enough to show continuity, but not enough to actually work. The ABS system is pretty sensitive. It's almost always broken at the spot where it's in the bracket on the UCA where it turns to go down the spindle, so check there first. A bit of solder and some heat shrink and you're good to go.

I have also needed to drive a bit for the light to go off in the past as well.

Am I doing this right? I’d have to be getting 8-10k to do a cage in a taco. Been a tech for quite some time now and I’m not sure I’ve ever encountered a dash quite on this level.
