Is there any advantage to welding it to the stock frame, once it's bolted on?

Also, I'm assuming non-hydro bumps, correct?

Looks awesome! Looks like I've got some more OT scheduled in the future lol

If you have the means to weld it all on, I would. There is a huge advantage for load paths on a welded assemblies that you do not get with bolt on. Bolt on allows for people that do not have access to welders to have a great setup but IMO its not the ultimate strength of welded on products

I need to call you about this kit to get the truck rounded out. I’m thinking April or May, depending on how your schedule looks

how do you set the bumps up? They attach to the frame brace or mount to the axle?

    hmmmmm
Are these bolted through existing holes? Could you run them without the frame brace on a DCLB?

The 3rd Gen perches have an overlay plate on the housing that gets in the way. You can notch the plate… I just cut the entire thing off while I had the plasma out

This is awesome! What about folks that have bolt on sliders? I have Budbuilts so will the frame brace interfere forward of here?

Needs a few tweaks but finally got the aluminum bumper installed on the truck! Thanks @81Trekker and @desertjunkie760 for the help and advice! Looks pretty sexy with that JD fab goodness underneath! :headbang:

Are you going to add anything to the sides to match up with the fiberglass fendies?

Yes, that’s the tweak I wanna do to it. Add a bit of material to flare it match the glass a little more, and then the edges need to be trimmed, it pokes into the wheel well because it was meant for stock fenders. Other than that, the aluminum feels like driving without a bumper still!

Edit: Only big con is the cost. Little less strenuous if you are talented to weld it yourself. But assembly almost cost as much as the bumper itself.
