The funny thing is that I'm a trim carpenter, and routinely deal with 32s of an inch. Just thought using a finger as a Guage between the arm and spring would be easier to express.

Nope. Definitely not the correct way to view the situation. I took an inch out of mine at the wheel.

Inch of wheel travel. I did the same. Netting like 12” instead of 13” on my +2.25. I also found at 13” everything binds. Upper ball, steering, upper hits coil badly.

OK, so find a constant point (like the fender) and simply measure the travel, and disregard the space between coil and arm?

I guess I'm fixating because I just remember reading that you want to limit contact between hard parts. So I thought that was where I should focus my attention.

You do want to limit travel between hard parts and thats the most important part. So set it all
Up. Take a guess on where the tabs should go, tack top and bottom with a heavy tack that can be removed easy and droop it out to verify its right. With the springs on also take into consideration the weight of the tire and wheel. It ends up being close to 1” of wheel
Travel lost which is why that was said.

So with your stuff all bolted up springs off, droop out the suspension to full droop, Jack the shock up 1”-1 1/4” and tack your tab in place. Jd tab is adjustable slightly so should be good from that point.

If I recall there is a perfectly clear explanation on setting up straps in the install sheets….

Since starting the SUA kit. Ive been randomly thinking about adding in a rear sway bar. Then comes to mind. What kind? A anti rock? Then its how to incorporate it and make it work. Or a oem style like Hellwig?
If I remember correctly I've read @81Trekker advocating or at least saying they are worth it in the end for the control.
    Ideas?

    Too many to remember
I personally would never use a sway bar with leaf springs, the body roll isn’t that bad. With 3/4 link I wouldn’t drive a truck without a swaybar

Fort hose that running HEIM steering kit, what are the replacement options available? Coming up to one year mark and with all the salt, mud and other abuse it's time to replace I think. Can't find the mounting width of them on the website.

I would just call them. I am sure they will give you part numbers and sources. They may even sell you what you need.
