Just ordered my shocks and bumps for the front. Big puzzle piece out of the way and will wait til those are finished before ordering the 2.25 kit. Has anyone confirmed the new uniball upgrade have been rolling out already?

Guys with a slide rack. Pay extra close attention to your clevis’s for cracking. I had a scary incident on our last time out. Needless to say both clevis’s cracked and bent pretty severely.

This locked up my steering to the point I only had 1/4 turn each direction. Blew a corner at near 70mph, blew up a wood post with my front bumper and luckily had a BBK to get my ass stopped before the tree line.

I’m guilty for not looking these over often.

All bolts were still torqued and paint marks still in check.

I am however sure 37’s played a big part in this.

All those little buttholes in the center of the weld is a tell tale sign of tack and go welding. Not good.

Not here to point fingers, place blame or anything else. Just here to say this failure came out of nowhere and was scary as hell to experience. I am parting ways with this setup all together. I tried like hell to make it a feasible solution for me. But after this, it’s gone.

This just keeps proving my point that if you actually want to off road your truck with big tires racks are a complete waste of time. The only real solution is a steering box with a ram

Any word from 74Weld creating a rack? Something that would be a better upgrade over stock than Portals.

Then a year after that maybe have a product to sell. That likely won’t be even close to the equivalent of a box/hydro assist. Rather some flashy billet housing with slightly better internals.

Quinn and 74 weld are awesome but that solution will definitely take time. I'm sire it will be great but he's not gonna release it early

Good on you for pointing out that 37s had a big roll in over stressing components

I'm always under my truck with a flashlight.
Everyone should have a creaper and make this a post and pre run ritual. But still things will happen. Be careful glad your okay. Part of the sport unfortunately

Some one needs to design a swingset steer

Who might that someone be? How about you and Harry just develop a complete roller with TTB front end, options for stock powertrain or an LS, both with an Atlas and finish it off with new rear axle in a trailing arm or leaf sprung config..

Why not just buy a bronco or f150 that already comes with a V8 and a 9”

I don’t have a slide rack like you but my Camburg clevis’ did come loose. Coincidentally after going 39’s.
