Yep. I would have done the cab, honestly, but I have a subwoofer behind the seats. And I like the extra weight on the back end since I drive in snow a lot.

Any way we can get them with nutserts instead of nut and bolt for us guys that don't want to pull a camper shell plus the bedsides off? At least looking at pics it looks doable without pulling bedsides off with nutserts...

It should be possible to install without removing bedsides weather it is nutserts or nuts and bolts. Would likely require two people however with the nuts and bolts.

You sure it doesn’t just install by sticking your hand up in there above the rear wheel on the backside?
Or is there no gap between the fender and bed
    Am not sure

With the bedside on, there is basically no room at the top, but maybe there is more magic involved that I don’t see.

Everything fights me so I automatically think of the worst case too

I used the good ol death wheel, but if I did it again, a tool like @WormSquirts said would be my choice. Much more controllable.

I never use Loctite with top lock hardware, anti seize or grease the threads otherwise they will never come apart

Ill take that into consideration for the actual install next weekend. Im just going by experience with my crawler having to tighten both Uppers and Lowers constantly

I red loctite all of my top lock stuff with zero issues at all. Loctite isn’t just a thread locker, it’s also a lubricant during install. Either way, I’ll never not loctite this stuff.

Not here to argue Harry. Just saying I’ve never had them not come apart after doing it.

you have a problem with mechanical lock nuts coming loose ? I've always hated them because they are such a pita to get off and the one time use factor but never had a problem with them coming loose ?

Nope. I’ve never had them come loose. But I’ve also always used loctite.

I use half loctite half anti seize. Let them argue it out.

Should I use loctite on the rear shackle bolts? I had both the top bolts back out of the nuts. They're tight now, but wouldn't want it to happen again.
