    Minimal “trimming” lol

    This whole thing started because I didn’t want to hack up my cab mount and beat the firewall in. Once I got into it I realized how weak the stock lower pockets were and wanted to make something really heavy duty so here I am.

    Cutting off the stock lower arm mounts was actually really easy and quick... anyone can do it with a sawsall and grinder :)

    I'm loving this but is the finished product still going to fall under the reasonably affordable category? ( affordable is all relative to the individual anyways)

    Does that include the new UCA's and also the "entire new subframe/skid plate with 1/4" thick pockets pushed forward"? And will it be bolt in?

    The upper arm would be additional cost but still less than some of the more popular brands. Because these trucks loose caster when lifted pushing the lower arm forward corrects the issues meaning the stock upper arm will work. There is enough adjustment in the new lower cams to allow proper caster even if you already have aftermarket arms or long travel.

    I am not sure how you are loosing caster when lifting the truck? Then moving a mounting location pretty far forward is only going to set you at 3* caster. I am very intrigued to see the math and then the outcome for the measurements on that.

    That's what I was thinking when going the higher lifts to fit the bigger tires the Upper balljoint really gets into a bind so it wouldn't be ideal plus coil to UCA clearance issue will be an issue.

    The upper arm is mounted at a fairly steep angle in relation to the lower and when the suspension drops out it the truck looses caster
