    Hey guys

Long story short, was involved in a minor accident but one of the FR leaf hangers took some damage. Doesn’t seem to be sold separately for third gens so I’m looking at doing the JD SOA frame brace kit.

Anyone that has done would be kind enough to send some pics? Interested in how much modification the sliders would require.

    TIA

I've done several. I don't know if I have any pics or if I did they'd be from way back, but basically we cut the rear slider support, and the frame plate, then shorten that one about 1/4", then reweld it, and weld a tiny filler plate to make the frame plate into one piece again. The frame support uses many of the same bolts as the sliders, so then it all just bolts together.

It's weird, certain things you'd think are covered under the sale are not and then other stuff is. Steering pump kit is covered but their sliders aren't.

Probably items with minimum labor involved, that way they aren't eating costs of labor.

I think that set up will be more than I paid for my truck that was already built!

Would it possible to design it so it used the same unit bearing hub assembly as the front?
