I don't know what the lead up to that was but holy fuck, so much is wrong with that.

Never try to bump up something without making sure that the only limiting factor is traction, there was no way in hell he was ever going to make it up that with his breakover angle, it looks like if he had made it any further he would have smashed his drive shaft so bad it would have sheared instantly.

From the pictures, no air bags. Looks like a custom headliner. But it's worth a call to see if it's even done.

That's a risk, I've had a couple hits I'm surprised didn't set them off. Especially given the head on collision I had in Feb that did set them off. A cuttout switch is always an option.

There aren't alot of places to go over 50 on dirt around here, but if you do it's got lots of trees to hit.

I'm more worried about getting hit on the street, honestly. If I'm on the trail, in a caged truck, doing caged truck shit, I'll just wear a helmet and build a cage that can handle being dumped. But driving to and from the trail I'd like to not require a helmet to protect myself from my own roll cage. Getting clipped by a drunk or texting moron (see Feb) and braining myself on my own cage would be really, really embarrassing. Especially since the truck was built with a specific safety system (airbags) for those kind of on-road collisions.

ETA I'm also the guy who has some concerns about our high clearance pre-runner bumpers and collisions with lesser vehicles. That lower cross member we call cut off to improve approach angle is there to save the clown in a small car from ending up under us. V3 of my bumper will include a provision for that based on my crash test of V2.

How high of stall are you talking? I can see that helping a lot especially since this truck is a toy, but even so the auto trans will be trying to shift when it is programmed to do so. Unless you swap to a manual valve body which I couldn’t find for these trucks.

A lot of the NA guys are loving the difference The HP Tuners Has provided, especially with @nd4spdbh trans tune that he’s been dialing in for the last year or so. It’s just something to look into and probably the cheapest mod that would be done to this truck lol

Well that’ll do it with the manual valve body as the transmission AI is what was my bigger concern. That something you’re doing in house?

Yeah I was mentioning them because building half a million dollar prerunners might have them getting more unusual requests.

Thats one way to do it! Current stall is what around the 2200-2400 rpm? One could take a look at the solenoid shifting parameters of the whitepapers of the A750 trans then simulate turning on and off the various proper solenoids and one could manually choose every gear and turn on and off lockup clutch as their heart desires.

I believe the current stall is around 1800rpm some where around 3000rpm is the sweet spot of the horsepower/torque curve

I’m on a 3” lift with Spc. Caster at about 4.3
I’m looking at 285/75/17 Geolander MT measuring 34.1”
    I don’t have a cmc yet only running 32.5”
Would I have to trim fenders with the 34s? Would extending the bump stop save the fenders?

I’m probably skipping it but is their a difference in travel numbers on the extended axle shaft and the 934s? Is the 13” of travel on the site from 934s only if so? And will the steering solution be made ever again?

HHG had a valve body for his done. It wasn't a full manual as it was still a street driven truck but it firmed up the shifts and added some more line pressure to the different gears. I'm looking at going HP tuners as well I've been looking at it a lot lately and there is a guy fairly close that specializes in tuning with HPtuners and has a dyno so we can really get things dialed in specifically for my truck.

The HP tuners is really a game changer in making these trucks drive the way they should. There’s a guy in here that was apart of their beta testing I think so he’s been messing with the Toyota tune for a while with great results. And he’s doing it for super cheap. Then my buddy has been nerding out on the trans tune side of things as well and has a pretty spicy trans tune available as well as a friendlier version that’s still worlds better than stock. When you go HPT you’ll think you’re driving a whole new truck.
