This is a rendering of the style I’m talking about... very common on luxury prerunners that need the strength of a Howe TT rack but want the feel of a steering box. The swingers can either be parallel or vertical depending on the setup

I'm going to build new arms this winter (gods willing and the creek don't rise (or my wife decides it's time for another home improvement project)). Relocating the pockets is interesting, but the second order effects become a major headache. Front half the truck at that point and get rid of all the other road-oriented stuff toyota designed in.

When I get to my engine cage I'll completely replace the stock shock tower and UCA mounts, mostly to get rid of the anti-dive, but also to make it stronger.

WRT the front bumper: I plated the front frame, cut off the lower crash bar and built a hybrid style that fit under the OEM plastic skin. Which I then held on with zip ties when I wasn't wheeling. My build thread has most of the pictures in it.

Yeah, it's a little less sleeper now. Glass and the exhaust. Although the wife hates the glass more than the exhaust, for some unknowable reason.

Another key thing to remember: that cab mount is there for safety. Specifically offset front crash, it exists to keep the front tire out of the footwell and protect your knee/ankle/foot in a highway crash.

We cut the shit out of them, but it's not a great idea, I'd much rather keep that safety feature and do something else to fit larger tires.

Tundra rack from either @Basikbiker or Solo Motor Sports are really the only game in town. Other than a howe setup or something like what you show up-thread, and I don't know of anyone doing either in the wild. There isn't much room in there, and the Tundra rack solves most of the issues. Add hiemed tie rods and the rest are solved too.

The RCLT will come out from Marlin eventually, but I wouldn't hold up a build waiting.

Yea the tundra rack that I put in my truck and hiemed tierods...with some heavy race tire 37s has been holding up great! Zero issues...I used to break stock racks everytime out in the dirt

I popped a seal in mine, but I also bent the frame a little at the same time... Still was an easy fix.

Relocating the pockets is easier than it sounds and the geometry will be much improved

Exactly this!! After seeing some of the skectchy cab mount chops on here I had to come up with a better way

If you relocate the upper pockets and make new upper arms to eliminate the anti dive geometry it will help clearance a bunch at full bump

The upper mounts stay the same, the revised geometry is built into the arm. The lower pockets are relocated to improve clearance and geometry. I’m also trying to reduce the amount of positive camber when turning to help the truck feel more planted

    Yup.

I'm going to do a new LCA to push the hub forward 1", new UCA to make the caster not suck, engine bay cage to support the UCA mounts, upper shock mounts, and hydro-bumps off the UCA.

With the UCA mounting points on an angle how do you change the arm to eliminate the anti-dive?

Yeah, I've got mine chopped, but I'd love to reverse it. And I'm eventually going to do 37s, but refuse to do a full cam mount relocate.

The antidive cant be fixed thru the arm it has to be the upper mount to fix that...and you want the tires to "lean" into the turn....not turn like if it was a castor wheel.... and that is affected mostly with your KPI which is the relation between the upper and lower spindle pivot and that relative angle in relation to the contact patch of the tire
