I should have screenshotted the ad because I was thinking 'no way'. It was a bad ad, plus I don't think big 16" tires are a big ticket anymore. Everyone wants 17s,18s,20s.
Life protip: Anyone looking for tires on CL. Search on 'all terrain' or 'mud terrain', OWNERS only (no retailers, too much spam).

35’s will fit on a true 3” lift with just a CMC and BFH the pinch weld flat. No rubbing on my rig. See my build thread.

Just gonna chime in, I had 1/4” spacers and extended lugs on my 2006 Tacoma. Going 70mph down the freeway my passenger side wheel flew off. Every lug was sheared off. That was after going off road maybe 5 times with it. Be careful, I will never run spacers again. Spend the money to LT it if you want that stance.

Not exactly true, they are sharing the weight which has been extended. That force increases exponentially the further away.

Not true. You are not pushing the attachment point out with wheel that have the correct offset.

The point being is that this set up introduces an unnecessary point of failure. As I stated, this is not to say that it will fail, but it could fail. That failure is completely unnecessary. You can take whatever risk you choose, but for me it isn't worth it.

same. I ran 33’s on my completely stock truck for 2 years and didn’t rub, but people still won’t believe it.

Seriously, it doesn't matter. They are an introduced point of failure. Why would you want to take the risk? If you can't afford the right equipment, wait until you can.

Yes, hubcentric, now I could’ve just gotten a bad batch or something, but damn it scared the shit out of me. Busted up all my McNeil fiberglass I had put on 3 days before also

Then don't run a spacer. No need to go around chastising people for choosing to do so.

I would just like to state that spacers are great and everyone should run them. 1.25” in front to clear the ucas, 2” in rear to clear the shocks from my relocate. 40k and haven’t died quite yet.

You don't have to justify stupidity to me. As I said you can do what you want. What you can't do is dispel the facts. Facts are facts. You introduced a point of failure that you could avoid. This is like you trying to argue that a spacer lift is a great solution. If you don't have the money to do it right, you take the risk. If it weren't for the fact that we all have to ride on the same roads and I have to worry about your bad choices impacting my day, I really wouldn't care at all.

I think I'm starting to pick up what you're putting down. If I run a spacer, I have 12 points of failure on each corner, each stud/lugnut. I'm going to remove half of my lugnuts, therefore reducing my points of failure. Can't have a lugnut come loose of there's no lugnut to begin with. Thanks buddy.

I've removed more points of failure. Look at all this pesky nonsense, waiting to fail.
