    Stuff. Also things.
I always figured I’d just live with the frame rub and turn like Austin Powers as required :D

Why not buy a different offset rim and not have to cut your frame? And that's pretty close at ride height, what about during articulation and offroad?

There aren't many 2.5" BS wheel options (last time I looked I could only find 15s) and not everyone likes to go to that wide of a stance

Even 3.5 will clear the frame from lock to lock.

I think I was running ~2.75" bs on the Tacoma when I had it. 4" wheels w/ 1.25" spacers and didn't have any frame rub. 3" seems to be the sweet spot w/ Tacoma's.

i run 4.3bs 10" wide wheels with 2" spacers. yes they stick out like 6" and yes even the smallest puddle of water or mud will instantly cover the truck. but i have my full steering. i would probably have done 1.5" if i didnt already have the 2 inchers i was using with another set of wheels

I ran the OEM 5 stars (4.5" BS, 7.5" wide wheel) with 1.25" spacers since forever, rub the frame full lock. Got 2" and didn't but then blew a wheel bearing, and went back to 1.25". My question still stands though, how do you not rub the spindle without spacers? @mtnkid85

I wouldn't mind notching the frame at this point, but I think rubbing the spindles is still a thing for me.

Hmm, it must be the narrow 7.5" wheel width casing your tire to bulge more. I have a good 3/4" on the stock upper A arm/spindle, I am going to SPC A arms though so I guess I better verify there fitment as well.

That is a fair point, I am running 7" wide wheels with 4.5 BS and there is a good bulge

One side done. Plated the inside of the frame and the bottom with 1/4" and the outside with 3/16". A guy would need to lift the body off to plate the top. I think this will be plenty but Ill just have to watch it and see what happens.

On her way back together. I had to remove my cross over pipe/exhaust and front drive shaft and Ive also addressed about three years of matienance backlogs during this tear down, so just putting everything back together is time consuming.

    Passenger side.

This is how I addressed to vacuum reservoir, just add wings to the mounts to move it up tight into the corner. A3C5AB86-29AA-4664-BC8F-BFA35DE55BFD.jpg

And this is my tire to spindle clearance, its not the 3/4" I previously said, closer to 3/8-1/2".

And she’s back together. Still rub the frame, just barely at full lock. I think less than I did with the 255/85s. There just isn’t enough room to take out any more though. Overall happy with how it came out.
