    1 month review....

    1. MTR's are super quiet and ride a lot better when compared to my previous Firestone MT's
    2. Lost about 1.5mpg's......I drive about 200 miles per week and this is acceptable to me
    3. Stock gearing is only a little less useful than my 33's, lol. I do find myself using my twin stick more off the line though. Looking forward to getting the crawlbox installed
    4. Had to cut a lot of my Bushwackers off to avoid rubbing when compressed
    5. Wish I could fit 42's under the fender :D

Engine freshly rebuilt due to blown head gasket, built my own CAI, EGR delete from LCEngineering, Billstein 5125's in the back with GM leafs, I can't stand paying for something that I can make in my garage so I built my own spacers for the front and tweaked them for 3" of lift.
I picked up my tires (315/75R16) B-F Goodrich KM2's and new to me wheels, new coils, struts and new to me from a fellow member Billstein 5125's for the rear. Now just to find time to do the damn thing. I have no idea what gear ratio I currently have, but it makes my 31's feel like nothing is there. If the 35's seem to be to much for the gears, what would any of you that have done this suggest? I leaning towards 5.29's but don't want to make the wrong decision. I'm running a 2.7, 5 spd in an O.G 95.5 single cab 4x4...

You'd 100% have to go with 5.29's if you have a little 4 banger. No questions asked

What is your speeds like on the highway with the 5.29's? By speeds I mean top end speeds. Currently with 31's I'm only able to run around 70 and not sure my RPMs due to not having a tach. This makes me curious about what is actually in my truck. Is there a way to calculate ratios without pulling the 3rd member and counting teeth?

    This is 2.7l 5.29 gears on 35 km2 6 inches lifted
This is the deal you gain more power but you lose
    Your top speed.
when my speedo hits 40 mph,
my actual real speed is 34 here i lose 6 mph
and when my speedo hits 75 mph,
my real speed is 64 here i lose 11 mph.
you gain some you also lose some the sweet point is
you run bigger tires and consume the same amount of gas
    as stock.
    Hope this clarify your doubts.
No matters what other said marlin crawlers is my first
    choices for gears n axles

On your door sticker there is a code for your ratio. At the top of the threads page is a sticky on gear ratios. Easy shmeezy!

I sure wish I had the sticker that originally came with the truck but I don't so I guess I'm outta luck on that part.

Well I got my gear money set aside, and then I installed struts and springs last night. I had to go with OEM style struts(ran out of truck funds or would have gotten better ones) with the very large TRD coils from a 2nd Gen Dbl Cab which were a pain in the ass to assemble without a spring compressor, but from my measurements I only lost about half an inch without spacers installed. I machined and drilled me some new 1.5" thinner spacers out of some aluminum stock I had laying around, old spacers were 2 inches thick and made out of scrap steel. I will be running spacers temporarily until I can make a decision and catch some more OT for better struts. So without gears purchased yet I only have $530 invested in this MOD and that includes my tires, wheels, struts, coils, rear 5125 shocks and my s10 leafs from my other on going project truck. I suck at taking pictures while I'm working on the truck but hopefully I can remember to get some while test fitting the wheels and tires this weekend. Thanks everyone for the advice and help.

Finally got them monsters on, had a few issues turning better yet couldn't turn left at all. Done a little trimming and all is good for now as long as I don't try anything drastic. Hopefully some tub action this weekend. I'm pretty sure I need some wheel spacers to get the tires away from my UCA's. Suggestions are welcomed.

I'm running 15x8 steel wheels with 3.5 BS. Would I need a spacer or would I be fine?
