Engine freshly rebuilt due to blown head gasket, built my own CAI, EGR delete from LCEngineering, Billstein 5125's in the back with GM leafs, I can't stand paying for something that I can make in my garage so I built my own spacers for the front and tweaked them for 3" of lift.
Has anyone else had issues with tires rubbing only on drivers side?

Man some sweet rigs in this thread. You guys got my head spinning with how much ya'll spend on big tires, more gas, gears, box's, lifts, etc.

    Can someone give me $20?

I can understand that, but why drivers side only? I corrected the "taco lean" but its back again, I guess I need to put a solid spacer on top until I can SAS?

Did you fully compress the suspension when you got to cutting sheet metal?

Or your A arm bushings are trashed and the lower arms are moving around.

Hey guys just want to jump in here and ask a few questions regarding gearing and 35s mainly first hand not what people think or a chart says!
I've been follow many builds like Paul and Adam since I'm running a 2004 Tacoma double cab with OME lift and 285s. Hope to have it as nice as you guys! Leading to my questions specific to v6 double cab autos.
What's you guys opion on 4.56 gears with the auto and v6? I'm really torn between 456 and 488s! As for tires looking at the 295/75/16 instead of 315s. As for tire a Hankook MT price, road performance and as DD seams to be a good pick.
So running on here.... 4.56 vs 4.88s and or 295 or 315s? Going to tub anyway for either to make them fit. I daily drive my rig and us it for kayaking, camping, overlanding and a ltitle rockcrawling and the local park. Finally are 35s the best pick for a DD to sees a fair amount of highway and around town. I don't mind the cost since this is my favorite truck. Sorry for the long winded post just been reading through so many posts I want to make the right choice once!
    Thanks guys!

4.88s with 33s for the v6-auto combination. If your going to with 35s, then 5.29 gears. IMO 4.56s are not enough with the auto.

If you notice, there are a hell of a lot more folks that DD their Tacoma on 265/75s than 35s. My brother has 35s on his SAS-ed 2nd gen 'runner and they aren't cheap. 35s are going to be hard on the drivetrain also. I am sure you are aware if you are currently 285s. However, it is your truck and your commute, do what you want to do. How long is your commute? Mine is 50 miles one way and prefer the drive ability of 265 ATs, but I am sure it isn't too far if you are contemplating DD-ing a set of $1000 tires. Just make sure you get a matching spare at that size.

Well going to pick up a set of new 35x12.50 km2's on 15x8 soft 8's this weekend. Only thing I'm up in the air about ifs what size wheel spacer to run. 1.25 or 1.50? Also front and back our just on the front.

I have enjoyed my 285's they do good with the v6 around town its the highway speeds and pulling a small trailer or boat that I need my power back! So hey regear might as well get bigger tires. I drive between 12-15k Miles a year a fair amount on the interstate traveling to local rivers. I'm just not sure how 4.88s are on RPMS running 70 with 295/75/16s (small 34?) The 295's are a little bigger than the 285's but I'm sure will require less cutting of my truck than a 315.

Another option for your washer fluid resi. Used one from the rear of a 1st gen 4Runner.
