Fitting a 33" spare under the bed???

    3in Lift with Toytec/Bilstein Coilovers, AllPro 3 inch rear leafs and ToyTec shackles. Trail Gear front tube bumper and sliders. Satoshi Grille with custom Hella light mount. Custom bedrack with Yakima Basket. Future mods- Going long travel!!!!!!!
    Has anyone been able to put a full size 33 inch spare in the stock spare rack under the bed on the first gen??

    yes. I had a 98 and fit 33/12.50 no problem

    Just remember that if you do any mudding or offroading, it will limit your clearance. I got stuck in a sandy mud pit because it bottomed out on the spare and left my tires free spinning:( I'll be getting an in bed mount sometime.

    Homebrew bumpers and sliders, 5100s & Eibachs up front and mutt leaf pack out back, 285s & Wheelers type B, sway bar deleted. Wife's ride: 01 4Runner 4wd sport. Stock with exception of TRD taco coils, and shift kit.
    Yea got a 255 in there right now, drop the old spare, get a big pair of pliers/crescent wrench, channel locks, etc and just bend the tabs out until it fits.

    I do recommend a 255 here as it is more of a space saver and won't hurt your clearance out back as bad.
