fitting light bar behind grill

Thought this thread was dead!

 

That's the look I'm going for since I can't put anything in my lower valance area anymore. Here are my questions:

1) Is that the BAMF mount or another manufacturer's product?
2) What size light bar is that?
3) Where are your horns?

Bamf mount on mine 20" bar and you just have to manipulate the horn to remount. I was to lazy to extend the wiring for it so it sounds like a dieing cat now

 

I just made a couple of new wires, left the connector in the stock location, and moved the horns. It's worked fine. If you search, you'll find people that relocated the stock connector down low and carefully around the airbag sensors. That just seemed too complicated to me.

 

No BAMF mount here and I didn't move the horns either

Haha nope! Had a local fab shop in town come up with something for me! They just bolted it to a little support below the headlight, it's pretty solid! I wanted to get a BAMF one but they were never in stock when I looked

Going to be installing a BAMF behind the grill bar in the next week or so. What kind of, for lack of better terms... "down bars" are you using? Did you order them from BAMF, or are they something you made from scratch? I'm looking at doing something very similar with a smaller light bar along the bottom, and two smaller pods up top. Thanks, and nice looking rig.

 

I call them down bars. BAMF makes them. . Look at this pic. You may have to zoom. You can see them.

 

What brand light is that?

 

Rigid is the only brand.

 

Sorry to revive this thread but does anyone have any pictures of the light output with the grill on? All I see is how they are mounted but was curious how much light actually got out in front of the truck.

 

This is from the past! I don’t think I’ve taken any with the lights on and shining down the road. Always a bit hard to get those pics with a phone.
