Pardon me if this has been covered in here somewhere but I have a question the more experienced can certainly answer.

I'm looking to go from 245/75/16 to 265/75/16 with an E-rated tire to handle the Kimbo Camper. What about that spare under the bed with the brand-new tread that has never seen the road? Do I offer it up on the trade-in for the new five tires that I want?, will they take it for a discount?, etc? What's been your strategy?

I don't want to leave a 245 under the bed as a spare when running 265's as it seem that would/could be worse than running a donut on a a Fiesta (been there, long story). Anyway, I've been around long enough to see some bad stuff happen and want to be properly prepared. Appreciate any thoughts on the matter. tia.

Personal preference, I still have my OEM spare and run 285’s. When I get new tires, I will keep the better of the four and upgrade the spare.

I don't think you need an e-load tire for your camper (whats the weight?) nor do I think you need to worry about the small size difference of your spare.

My use case is different, but I bought 5 33" mud terrains and do a 5 tire rotation. I also kept my stock tires with the intent of using them for daily driving/commuting and put them on a 2nd set of rims. So far I haven't needed either spare.
