Shoulder puncture. The big chain tire shops won't touch it. Either use your tire replacement policy if you bought one, DIY, or find a local shop on the sketch side of town.

You won't really know until its dismounted and the inside is checked. All depends on where it came out on the inside.

    But it doesnt look good...

As mentioned, tire stores probably won’t deal with it since it’s in the shoulder. Bring it back to the tire store you bought from and get prorated discount toward a new tire (looks like a pretty new tire).

Yah this is basically what happened. No one will touch it. I can get prorated tires for 580 which is a decent deal for AT2. Which they don’t make anymore I don’t think.

however these tires have 55k on them. Which is funny because they still have a ton of tread on them

So I said f it and pulled it out. Was only in up to the bent part. Not far. I threw some soapy water on it to see if it will make bubbles. It doesn’t appear to be leaking

I would be more than willing to take the risk to find out. Almost no shops would fix it and it's such a small hole. I'd drip a bit of liquid electrical tape around it and push it in, roll the dice!

    Yea. Because lawyers.

Doesn't have to be sketchy. Shop I use when needed will do it. They just need to be independent (free of corporate lawyers), practical and ethical. As in not all things should be plugged, but most of the time it's just fine.
