What do you guys recommend for a good fixed blade knife? I've heard that SOG's bowie 2.0 is nice, but what have you lot have experience with?

    If you like custom stuff...........

Take a look at the TAC-1 and TAC-Custom. Then cruise around the site a little. I like real steel in a blade. You need to care for it a little but it will be there for you if you need it IMHO.

If you are interested in the best of the best when it comes to a fixed blade knife, Randall Knives are the way to go. You'll pay a hefty price for the quality, but it will be worth it. Wait time for one of their knives is currently 5 years, but active duty military can order from a limited selection of their knives with a 10-12 week wait.
