Fixed Headlights That Were Badly Scratched

    Nothing too crazy here, just wanted to show you all that the home kit does work really well for scratched or oxidized headlights. I used Meguiar's Headlight Restoration Kit. It was $29 at Auto Zone and took about 30 minutes, definitely worth it!

    This is when I first started noticing the protective coat flaking off, it got progressively worse from there as you'll see below

    Here it is right before I started with the kit. There were a million tiny scratches on it, you can't really tell from this pic but all of the "foggyness" was actually scratches. Windexed the headlights and started sanding

    Good as new! I hope it holds up, it came with a protective coating to rub on so hopefully that keeps it looking nice for a while. Even if I had to do this monthly, though, it would be worth it rather than having crappy looking headlights IMO.
    If you need to clean yours up, then I would definitly give Meguiar's a shot.

    Installed Overhead Compass and Temperature Display along with outside temperature sensor and wiring; LED lights reverse backup; LED license plate lights; Added GTA Bluetooth Audio kit to stock radio for iphone audio; Spare tire steel braided air hose extension connection to rear bumper; Installed new headlights along with new bulbs PIAA H4 XTreme and for fog lights PIAA H10 XTreme bulbs. Installed new hood with "hood-scoop". Installed Predator Side Steps. Replaced front chrome grill with customized color matched (Desert Sand Mica) grill with added TOYOTA lettering (also in matched color), installed and secured tailgate anti-theft devices. Also installed a new external TPMS monitor for all 4 tires.
    Damn, that looks good, excellent!

    You will have to do that regularly, unfortunately. :(
