From the pic it appearsm to be in the green. Go with your gut, do you trust it? If not act accordingly.

As long as you plugged it correctly, that thing will last until it's a racing slick. Send it.

As long as it's not in the sidewall you are good. A patch works better than a plug in the long run but tires have been plugged since tubeless tires were invented. A single small hole like that with a single plug to fix it is normal. Having to put more than one plug in to fix it is definitely a no go.

I swear, every year they bring out the Christmas decorations earlier and earlier.

It’s no go. The plug he put in is the repair.

I put air in the tire and it hasn't lost any pressure. Been about 2 weeks now, though it's not mounted and I haven't driven on it yet

I have one plugged tire that’s been on my car for 2 years with no problems. If done right they are fine but most tire shops won’t do a repair on the hole you plugged. You use the spare and take it to the shop or you plug it and that’s what you got.

I've had a zillion plugs, and far too many patches (because shitbirds) I've never had a plug quit on me, though they don't have as solid a rep as patches.
If a tire shop won't patch it, just run the plug as is.

Follow up, took it to the shop and they did a patch plug kit on it. Looks a lot better than my attempt at plugging it.

If you're only on the road, run it with a plug.
