    Hello,

A young man decided it was a good time to reverse into my path yesterday as I was backing out of a parking space in the grocery store parking lot. He was driving a VW GOLF GTI and his drivers side rear panel lost that battle.

You can barely tell I hit anything and it probably isn’t worth fixing. However, I thought I would ask if any of you have attempted to correct a slightly bent rear bumper.

My new truck is officially broken in now. :(

It's a good excuse to buy an aftermarket bumper. You'll love it and your new truck won't be "broken" anymore.

Been there on the ends of the bumper. basically they are made out of aluminum foil and can bent back to near shape by hand. I touch up the panel where the bumper scraped it.

I hammered this out with a block of wood, took less than 10 minutes. Your bumper looks fine

Thanks all. I’m gonna pull it out with a hose tomorrow. I’m also going to buy some touch up paint for the scratches.

No, I am not filing a claim. He did with his insurance and I guess they opened one against me. I’m gonna talk with my adjuster tomorrow.

If it’s 50/50, my insurance won’t pay his claim. That much I do know.

    Curious to know the same.

Recently noticed new damage on the rear bumper (painted TRD Sport version, not the chrome TRD Off-Road one)
appears it might be a hit and run because I didn't hit anything
but I've not made a claim yet, and it doesn't look too serious
still stucks to have the nice metal visibly dented in though

Parking lots are privately owned and usually there are no claims filed...
    Police report?
I can't see either insurance company determining either driver at fault here.
My opinion is that his full coverage will pay for his parts, as you are responsible for yours...
