I had a cellphone holder stationed on my dashboard for a few years that finally gave up the ghost. When I removed it, it discolored my dashboard, seemingly taking the paint or dye with it when removed. At first I thought it was light-colored remnants of the gooey adhesive that kept the cellphone holder in place, but the more I scrubbed, the worse it got.

Is there anything I can do to remedy this ugliness? Dashboard paint? Shoe polish? Spray paint? :p

I know dashboard spray paint is available, but I'd just get a dash cover.

Dye maybe? I used dye for a worn section of the Tacoma steering wheel, and an entire steering wheel on a different car. I would think a dash would be harder to match/blend without doing the whole thing, but it probably has the best potential other than a dash cover.

Leatherique products are second to none, though their website is pretty old school.

I masked every thing off it wasn’t that bad to do . And I cleaned the dash real good with degreaser and alcohol. Then sprayed about half the can .the ardex spray is really good I ended up spraying my door switch pods there we’re getting spotty looking that wouldn’t come clean
