Fixing display right below map lights

I noticed there is a display right beneath the map lights on my '05 tacoma. I am guessing it is displaying the outdoor temp as well as direction of travel? However, mine does not work. Also, there is a button on it as well and I clicked it and nothing comes on. I have attached a photo to clarify what I am talking about.
Any tips on how to fix this?

This guy fixed mine 17$ replaced some parts inside had it back very fast:

Just resolder the two 510 resistors back onto the circuit board and the thing should come back to life.

 

I also used the ebay service..good job and quick turnaround.Be careful when taking the unit down.There are 2 small clips that will probably fall out...You will need these to reinstall the console.
