Fixing leaking valve cover. Permatex Right Stuff Black RTV good to use?

    Any reason I shouldn't use this instead of the recommended gasket that will cost $80+? If the bolts are torqued properly, it shouldn't cause issues, am I right?

    F: Kings SPC, R: 5100s+J59s. Custom armor.
    RTV as opposed to the rubber gasket or FPIG on the cam covers and 1/2 moons? RTV instead of the gasket is a non-starter; Just get an after market gasket if $80 is going to break the bank. You need new washers either way.
