I ordered the gun metal grey (anthracite) 16" FJ rims. Will the TPMS from my 17" sport alloy rims work? Also I plan on selling my 17" sport alloys to my mother-in-law who is currently running the 16" steelies. Will her TPMS from the steelies work in the 17" sport alloy rims?

The TPMS from the 17's will work, but I don't thing the TPMS from the steelies will work. Could be wrong?

I went from the sport 17" wheels to the 16" FJ wheels. Everything was fine

TPMS sensors from the steelies are a different angle than the alloy sensors, will not fit the same. The only way they will work is to rotate the sensor 180 degrees, but then they could break when a tire is changed.

Anybody successfully swap your TPMS sensors from your stock TRD Off-Road wheels to TRD FJ wheels?

I have a 2012 DC TRD OR, both wheels are 16's and both are alloy.

    Cheers,

OK, thanks. I spoke to the shop who is doing my lift and they seamed to think that it would be no big deal to swap them. Hopefully it works out.

Edit, worked fine. I had a local tire shop do the rim/tire/sensor swap. Each valve stem needed a rebuild kit. Took the tire shop just a few min each.

    Cheers,

    Salt
