By this time it was already 2:45pm and we still needed to get back for the Vendor Show. So we thanked our trail leader for the awesome run and told him we'd be airing up and returning straight to main camp after lunch.

Boring boring AWESOME boring boring HAS-POTENTIAL boring

I love the views out here

We stopped at a market in Ridgway for a couple groceries (big mistake, see below) and I found this pretty blue 3rd gen in the parking lot

No sooner could Marlin return to the parking area near the vendor and he was already chatting with customers

And now back at our hotel at 10:30pm!

Wait, what about the Vendor show? Ohh man it was awesome and I was so busy talking to people I didn't take even one single photo!! Sorry about that everyone! I had so many people asking about when our new Long Travel IFS kit will be ready and the same for our Heavy Duty MarRack IFS Steering System (so it's not only those posting the same in my build thread hahaha). I also went to the Tiki Bar for a vendor meet-up party, and despite the fact we don't drink it was a lot of fun hanging out with fellow industry leaders

I feel I'm definitely making some headwind in the late model IFS system. Getting the next run of prototypes installed for testing at our September Rubicon Round-Up event is going to be that much sweeter of an accomplishment!

...And I'm sorry to say that this will be all I can get updated right now. It's almost midnight again and I've learned this event isn't the best choice for a Live! trip report attempt by me :D

The thread is exactly one day behind, but to drive the point home, today we ran Poughkeepsie Gulch (and I did an impressive Walking The Crawler up the hardest obstacle of this entire event known as The Wall -- and I don't have a video of it!! :( :( :(), tomorrow we will do Black Bear Pass + vendor show + late-night main-event raffle, then Sunday morning 6am vendor photo shoot, then immediately leave town to return back to California.

If I am not 100% fully caught up now, then I likely won't be able to post updates until I return home (to preserve a chronological post order).

I'll try to post up some more if I can! Until then I hope everyone is having a nice week and catch ya on the flip side!

    Regards,
    BigMike

I assume that all the pics of the Tacoma parked, you were really just in first gear, idling. Come back an hour later and it's only moved 3 or 4 inches.

As for self driving cars, who needs Tesla? You have a taco box, lol

    Love the Moab videos.

Great coverage Mike, we saw you and Marlin at the event but didn't get a chance to stop by and say hi. Def nice that you got to run with Toyota and XO. I think my AirBNB host drove your truck, said he was stoked. haha

For those curious it's not only a FJ event despite the name. Good event to get your feet wet and meet lots of people.

    Are you going next year?
