Is a 2008 fj 4x4 tranny the same as a 2007 Tacoma? Thanks in advance.

I think they are the same until 2010 but I’m sure you can just Google it.

    2008 FJ Cruiser 4X4:

    Automatic A750F

    Manual RA61F

    2007 Tacoma 4X4:

    Automatic A750F V6

    Manual RA60F for V6
    R155F for 4 cylinder

Inconclusion the automatics are interchangeable and so are the the V6 manuals though they will have slightly different 6th gear ratio's; .849 in the Tacoma RA60 vs .799 in the FJ RA61 . And disregard the 4 cylinder transmission.

the transmissions are physically the same beast, the FJ has a slightly taller OD gear, so it may be desirable for that reason.
